摘要: In this study, we investigated the distribution of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in a riparian zone affected by effluent from wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). River water, sediment, aquatic invertebrates and samples surrounding terrestrial compartment such as soil, reed plants several land based were collected. A relatively narrow range PC values was found among most (except butterflies, grasshoppers), indicating similar energy source. The highest concentration total PCBs observed zoo-plankton (151.1 ng/g lipid weight), soil dwelling showed higher concentrations than phytophagous insects at zone. endobenthic oligochaete Tubifex tubifex (54.28 lw) might be useful bioindicator WWTP derived contamination. High bioaccumulation factors (BAFs) collected invertebrates, although biota-sediment/soil accumulation (BSAF) remained low. Emerging chironomids could carry waterborne to via their lifecycles. estimated annual flux for ranged 0.66 265 ng.m(-2).y(-1). Although high prevalence PCB-11 PCB-28 zone, mid-chlorinated congeners (e.g. PCB-153 PCB-138) became predominant dragonflies well which suggest selective biodriven transfer different PCB congeners.
