摘要: Correlation between the lens extension size and broadside directivity of a hemielliptic dielectric antenna (DLA) fed by primary feed with variable radiation pattern is studied in accurate manner. The problem considered two-dimensional formulation solved numerically using in-house software based on Muller boundary integral equations (MBIE). Our results highlight key role edge taper which can be defined for DLAs similarly to theory reflector antennas. A new feature revealed relation optimal needed achieve highest possible permittivity material.
