Heat and power from eucalyptus and bagasse in Nicaragua : part B : results of environmental, macro- and micro-economic evaluation

摘要: Two Nicaraguan sugarmills are going to generate power from bagasse during the sugercane season and rest of year eucalyptus dedicated energy plantations. This type generation is compared with fueloil on its costs, socio-economic environmental impacts.' The selling price these biomass sources calculated at 5.7 ¢/kWh (including profit), as 6.8 for fueloil, assigning a value equal cost producing eucalyptus. 73% remains in economy, while this between 14 30% case electricity fueloil. Employment more than 3 times higher CO, acidifying emissions about factor 30 lower Dust can be problem, unless flue gas cleaning implemented.
