摘要: Ciona intestinalis and Codium fragile are among the most successful invasive species in marine systems worldwide, they currently process of expanding their distributional ranges along Chilean coast. Herein we evaluated whether tolerance to a wide range environmental conditions contributes invasion potential these two species. To examine performance (e.g., growth) non-indigenous species, unifactorial experiments (8–10 days) were conducted with different factors (solar radiation, salinity temperature). Based on results, risk coast was for both using mechanistic niche modeling approach. Both can tolerate extensive abiotic temperature, C. being more tolerant cold-temperate waters. Also, susceptible high light intensities than fragile. These results confirm those other experiments, outcome shows that potentially invade regions exception Magellan region. The suggest physiological capacity perform physical is pre-requisite invasions by littoral biota, but predation possibly competitive exclusion slow down success intestinalis, which contrast fragile, consumed many benthic predators. Sexual asexual reproduction as well buoyancy its thalli further contribute dispersal colonization considerations, it concluded substantially higher intestinalis.
