摘要: Some of the population characteristics Argyrops spinifer collected from coastal waters Bushehr province (Persian Gulf) were investigated June 2010 to May 2011. A total 622 specimens taken harbor and transferred laboratory on ice for further consideration. Total length, body weight sex recorded each specimen their sagittal otoliths removed age determination. cut reading was performed by three investigators assure accuracy readings validation. In males, length ranged between 15 61.2 (24.04 ± 6.62 SD) cm 77.09 3450.00 (325.20 ± 320.45) g. females, 13.50 64.20 (24.61 ± 7.86) cm 52.48 4162.00 (369.66 ± 465.03) g. Sex determined in 532 mature specimens, among which about 44% males 56% females. The females 2+ 25+ 21+ years, respectively, indicating it is a long-lived species. estimates asymptotic (L ∞) growth coefficient (K) 67.90 cm 0.082 per year, respectively. Females 82.10 cm 0.061 year. Length–weight relationship described as $$W = \;0.0 60{\text{ TL}}^{ 2. 6 4 8} \left( {r^{ 2} 0. 9 \right)$$ \; 0.0 5 {\text{ 8 1} negative allometric pattern both sexes (p < 0.05). condition factor 2 ± 0.14 all specimens.
