Acinic cell carcinoma of the parotid gland: review and management.

摘要: The purpose of this retrospective review is to study the management a rare malignant tumor parotid gland, acinic cell carcinoma. Incidence, pathology, clinical findings, and diagnosis are reviewed. Twenty-five patients were seen at British Columbia Cancer Agency (BCAA) for initial treatment, recurrent disease or follow-up during period 1958-1990. Twenty-two carcinomas (ACC) occurred in gland. Surgical treatment regimens ACC ranged from local excision radical excision. Local not advised but superficial parotidectomy alone appears have been adequate small tumors. Eleven 22 received radiotherapy. Indications adjuvant postoperative radiotherapy given. Nine with primary tumors treated combined therapy alive disease-free mean 10.7 years. Postoperative be effective eradicating microscopic residual although long-term necessary make these results clinically significant.
