摘要: The effect of chemical composition on tetragonal-cubic spinel transformations in the systems Mn3O4-MgAl2O4 and MgMn2O4-MgAl2O4 has been studied by X-ray diffraction. unit cell dimensions various compounds have determined at room temperature. c' a' values do not change linearly with but show an abrupt a critical composition, beyond which = a', cubic structure. cation distribution worked out from analysis diffraction intensities, thus correlation between actual number distorting Mn3+ ions octahedral sites, degree distortion, obtained. required these sites to maintain tetragonal structure temperature accurately determined.
