摘要: The divertor asymmetry in particle and power fluxes has been investigated on the EAST superconducting tokamak [S. Wu Team, Fusion Eng. Des. 82, 463 (2007)] for both single null (SN) double (DN) configurations. D2 Ar puffing at various locations also explored as an active means to reduce peak target heat load control asymmetry. For SN, outer is 2–3 times that inner under typical ohmic plasma conditions. DN operation leads a stronger in-out favoring divertor. promotes partial detachment near strike points, greatly reducing (over 50%), while far-SOL remains attached. What remarkable flux even increased away from points when B×∇B drift directed toward target, thus facilitating removal.
