摘要: Clinical and epidemiologic characteristics of disease associated with a newly described nonhalophilic Vibrio species, mimicus, were identified by studying isolates from 21 patients referred to the Centers for Disease Control between 1977 1981. Two ears otitis who had recently been exposed seawater. Nineteen stool samples; these generally diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, fever, headache, bloody diarrhea occurring in fewer than half. Persons more likely age- sex-matched controls have eaten raw oysters (p = 0.013). Although most cases sporadic, three single outbreak. Only two produced toxin found enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay or Y-1 adrenal cell heat-labile toxin, none heat-stable infant mouse assay. mimicus should be considered differential diagnosis acute gastroenteritis after recent ingestion seafood (especially oysters) exposure
