摘要: Abstract Liquid ant baits were evaluated for control of Argentine ants, Linepithema humile (Mayr), and associated mealybug pests ( Pseudococcus species) in commercial vineyards. In all trials, liquid an insecticide dissolved 25% sugar water. 2000, two baits—crystalline boric acid imidacloprid—were deployed ground-based dispensers at rates 85 (site 1) 175 2) per ha. Season-long densities significantly lower than a no-insecticide only the treatments, 1 2 sites. 2001, four baits—imidacloprid, fipronil, thiamethoxam, each mixed 0.0001% (A.I.)—were delivered rate 120 There was no treatment impact on or densities. 2002, bait—thiamethoxam, (A.I.)—was canopy-based 3) that recharged every 2 wk cleaned 4 wk, 160 (sites 620 significant reduction season-long bait treatments sites, 3 sites; crop damage The results are discussed with respect to methodologies used deploy development viable program.
