摘要: Abstract Aim of the study The introduction a paediatric Medical Emergency Team (pMET) was accompanied by weekly in-situ simulation team training. Key ward staff participated in training, focusing on recognition deteriorating child, teamwork and early involvement senior staff. Following an earlier [1], this investigation aimed to evaluate long-term impact ongoing regular training hospital response patients, patient outcome financial implications. Methods Prospective cohort all in-patients tertiary requiring admission intensive care (PICU) year before, 1 year after 3 years pMET Results Deteriorating patients were recognised more promptly (before/1 year after/3years pMET; median time 4/1.5/0.5 h, p Conclusion These results indicate that lessons learnt during led sustained improvements critically in-patients, significantly improved outcomes substantial savings.
