摘要: Rapid population growth, unplanned urbanization and the drying up of traditional water resources have caused scarcity in Kathmandu Valley Nepal. The impact climate change has further exacerbated increasing problem scarcity. Traditional such as stone spouts wells play an important role meeting demand Valley. This paper examines use conservation efforts resources, especially spouts, which been practiced over many centuries study used qualitative inquiry to inductively generate data from fieldwork through interviews with stakeholders observation 64 Kathmandu, Bhaktapur Lalitpur districts. reveals that there is not adequate attention given by state non-state authorities despite their high potential contribute adaptation practices, suggests ways allocating implement activities; more specifically, implementation Declaration National Convention on Stone Spouts 2007. Local are useful practices can be improve management.
