摘要: Benign neonatal sleep myoclonus is a syndrome characterized by the occurrence of repetitive myoclonic jerks extremities exclusively during non-rapid eye movement in early life healthy newborns. No etiological factors are present. The onset within first 15 days with spontaneous disappearance 3-4 months. These events commonly diagnosed as epileptic seizures. We observed 12 newborns this clinical pattern; follow-up ranges from to 60 Long-term videopolygraphic electroencephalographic (EEG) monitoring demonstrated normal EEG activity, thus confirming that these unusual were nonepileptic.
