摘要: The Atlas of Cultural Evolution provides basic data on the evolution cultural complexity using Outline Archaeological Traditions sample. constitutes a sampling universe from which cases can be drawn for diachronic cross-cultural research, an activity I refer to as archaeoethnology. Data were entries in Encyclopedia Prehistory, nine volume work providing summary information all Traditions, thus also demonstrates utility Prehistory tool suggest that more sophisticated archaeoethnology, eHRAF Collection Archaeology, used further test and refine evolutionary trends put forward here.
