摘要: Fired microstructures of standard porcelain stoneware tile and made from mixes containing waste glass as part the flux system were studied by XRD, SEM, TEM. The microstructure consists 100-1000 μm long mullite needles, feldspar relics, partially dissolved α-quartz embedded in a glassy matrix. use soda-lime-silica (SLS) led to crystallization plagioclase, wollastonite, sodium silicates. CaO-rich areas adjacent quartz particles, result interactions between SLS silica quartz, eutectic morphologies, revealed that accelerated liquid formation thus sintering densification. Formation these additional phases lower levels mullite, Na-feldspar although firing temperatures could be used achieve full density due generation more fluid liquid. Use PbO-containing glasses had little effect on compared with composition while mixed plagioclase but extent than higher SLS.
