摘要: SUMMARY The dynamic performance of a flat car is studied herein. indices include roll angles, lateral accelerations, center plate loads, side bearing wheel loads and spring deflections. These variables are maximum when the running at its critical speed, corresponding to either rock roll, or bounce mode. Association American Railroads' (AAR) Flexible Carbody Model was used. input for vertical track irregularities used in simulation generated from published spectra U.S. Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Class 4 track. After studying car's with various column suspensions, it found that most commonly load 4,000 lbs. (17.8 kN) should be suspension original design also adopted, order avoid bottoming.
