摘要: We study experimentally the dynamics of vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) with polarizationrotated (PR) optical feedback, such that natural lasing polarization a VCSEL is rotated by 90 deg and then reinjected into laser. observe noisy, square-wave-like switchings periodicity slightly longer than twice delay time, which degrade to (or alternate with) bursts irregular oscillations. present results simulations are in good agreement observations. The demonstrate close threshold regular switching very sensitive noise, while well above less affected noise strength. frequency splitting between two polarizations plays key role regularity, we identify wide parameter regions where deterministic robust can be observed.
