摘要: Movement of cells and tissues is a basic biological process that used in development, wound repair, the immune response to bacterial invasion, tumour formation metastasis, search for food mates. While some cell movement random, directed stimulated by extracellular signals our focus here. This involves sequence steps which first detect chemical and/or mechanical via membrane receptors activate signal transduction cascades produce intracellular signals. These control motile machinery thereby determine spatial localization sites force generation needed motion. Understanding how within interactions with their surroundings, including other cells, are controlled space time cell-level major challenge, many issues amenable mathematical modelling.
