摘要: We investigated the neural correlates supporting three kinds of memory judgments after very short delays using naturalistic material. In two functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) experiments, subjects watched movie clips, and a retention (1.5-2.5 s), made mnemonic about specific aspects clips. Experiment 1, were presented with scenes required to either choose scene that happened earlier in clip ("scene-chronology"), or correct spatial arrangement ("scene-layout"), had been shown ("scene-recognition"). To segregate activity seen versus unseen stimuli, 2 only one probe image was (either target foil). Across we replicated patterns underlying forms judgment. The precuneus activated during temporal-order retrieval, superior parietal cortex bilaterally for spatial-related configuration judgments, whereas medial frontal recognition. Conjunction analyses previous study used analogous retrieval tasks, but much longer delay (>1 day), demonstrated this dissociation pattern is independent delay. conclude brain regions mediate task-specific across vastly different delays, consistent proposal scale-invariance episodic retrieval.
