Heteropolytungstate complexes of the lanthanide elements. Part I. Preparation and reactions

摘要: Salts of the anions LnIIIW10O357–(Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Ho, Er, Yb, and Y) CeIVW10O356– have been prepared analysed. The formulae previously reported 8-tungstocerates are revised. All unstable outside pH range 5·5–8·5, stable solutions free acids cannot be obtained. Lanthanide cations react rapidly with unsaturated heteropolyanions to give complexes LnL LnL2(L SiW11O398–, etc.). several LnL2 isolated. mode co-ordination L is discussed.
