摘要: We report here the results of a UV monitoring programme recurrent nova T Pyx that spans time interval from May 1980 to February 1993. The IUE spectra at various epochs show remarkable constancy in continuum intensity and slope but substantial changes emission lines. From total intensity, after correction for reddening, E B-V =0.31, with new distance 3160 pc, we derive L ≈ 80L ⊙ mass accretion rate Ṁ > 2 × 10-8 M yr-1. This high is perfect agreement requirements thermonuclear runaway models novae.
