摘要: The aim of this study was to compare muscle O2 dynamics during exercise between aerobic capacity-matched overweight and normal-weight adults. Overweight women (OW, n = 9) (NW, 14) performed graded treadmill until exhaustion. Muscle saturation (SmO2) relative changes from rest in deoxygenated hemoglobin concentration (∆deoxy-Hb) total (∆total-Hb) were monitored continuously at gastrocnemius medialis by near infrared spatial resolved spectroscopy. Significantly higher SmO2 lower ∆deoxy-Hb ∆total-Hb observed OW compared with NW. Pulmonary uptake (VO2) normalized fat-free mass matched groups. In both groups, peak VO2 significantly correlated change ∆deoxy-Hb. Our findings suggest that blood volume deoxygenation adults, Moreover, lowered extraction related as well
