摘要: This paper deals with a new heterogeneous catalyst for the second step in two-step oxidative cleavage of unsaturated fatty acids triglycerides derived from vegetable oil, reaction aimed at synthesis azelaic and pelargonic acids. The former compound is bio-monomer polyesters; latter, after esterification, used cosmetics agrochemicals. studied offers an alternative to currently ozonization process, which has severe drawbacks terms safety energy consumption. was carried out oxygen, starting glycol (dihydroxystearic acid triglyceride), latter obtained by dihydroxylation oleic triglyceride. catalysts were based on Cu2+ , form either alumina-supported oxide or mixed, spinel-type oxide. CuO/Al2 O3 could be recovered, regenerated, recycled, yielding promising results further industrial exploitation.
