摘要: Field measurements of the variations surface gas fluxes (e.g., O2 and CO2) waste-rock drying evaporation are critical in development a long-term management plan for mine wastes. However, such on piles lacking. Previously, we tested verified dynamic closed chamber (DCC) method minicosms mesocosm then applied at field-scale to quantify CO2 efflux Key Lake uranium mine, northern Saskatchewan. In this study investigated short-term effects heavy rainfall events near water contents resultant from Deilmann north pile (DNWR). We also evaporative using SoilCover numerical model. The corresponding average flux into was estimated measured data reported kinetic ratio (1O2:0.2CO2) determined samples collected DNWR. Using value (217 mg m -2 h -1 ) DNWR calculated be 789 . Results showed that dramatically reduced after events, however, impart relative short duration. This behavior attributed hydraulic properties material. These can waste management.
