摘要: Unusual animal behaviors (UABs) have been observed before large earthquakes (EQs), however, their mechanisms are unclear. While information on UABs has gathered after many EQs, few studies focused the ratio of emerged or specific prior to EQs. On 11 March 2011, an EQ (Mw 9.0) occurred in Japan, which took about twenty thousand lives together with missing and killed persons. We surveyed pets preceding this using a questionnaire. Additionally, we explored whether dairy cow milk yields varied particular locations. In results, 236 1,259 dog owners 115 703 cat pets, restless behavior being most prominent change both species. Most within one day EQ. The showed precursory relationship epicentral distance. Interestingly, milking facility 340 km epicenter decreased significantly week However, cows facilities farther away no significant decreases. Since pets' cows' were affected EQ, careful observation they could contribute predictions.
