摘要: Electron ionization mass spectra show a wealth of fragment ion peaks allowing to retrieve structural information, often though at the expense abundance molecular ion. For decades, EI has served as one and only method organic spectrometry. With advent soft methods such CI or FD we just dealt with, exhibiting minor even no signals could be generated. While highly advantageous first sight, in long run, lack information presents severe drawback for analytical applications.
