摘要: For 50 years it was assumed that humans rely on optic flow for the visual guidance of locomotion. It has been suggested theory originated with Grindley (see Mollon, 1997), but its popularization undoubtedly due to Gibson (e.g. Gibson, 1958). Gibson’s publications motivated psychophysical studies, neurophysiology, imaging and computational modelling Lappe et al., 1999, a review), however, recently challenged.
