摘要: The first part of this chapter focuses on the constituent materials (fibres and polymeric matrices), manufacturing processes, general properties field application fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites used in civil engineering applications. Subsequently, detailed information is provided about following three main types FRP shapes structural applications: (1) glass fibre-reinforced (GFRP) pultruded profiles; (2) rebars (3) strengthening systems. For each these typologies, aspects are discussed: geometries, typical physical mechanical properties, advantages difficulties compared to more traditional construction materials, application, process connection technology, regulation.
