摘要: Nerve-mediated relaxation is necessary for the correct accomplishment of gastrointestinal (GI) motility. In GI tract, NO and a purine are probably released by same inhibitory motor neuron as co-transmitters. The P2Y1 receptor has been recently identified responsible purinergic smooth muscle hyperpolarization in human gut. This finding confirmed P2Y1-deficient mice where neurotransmission absent transit time impaired. However, mechanisms nerve-mediated relaxation, including identification neurotransmitter(s) itself, still debatable. Possibly different present tract. Functional demonstration neuromuscular transmission not correlated with structural studies. Labelling neurons experimental performed routine pathology studies from samples, even when possible impairment suspected. Accordingly, contribution diseases affecting motility known. this review, we have focused on physiological providing functional basis future clinical pharmacological targeting receptors.
