摘要: The progressive opportunity of international markets has led to significant new competitive pressures on industry. Recently, this seen changes in organizational structures at the product design level through prologue computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) and concurrent engineering (CE) philosophy, is now seeing industry as companies build worldwide relationships. Automatic feature recognition from computer-aided (CAD) systems plays an important key toward CAD/computer-aided (CAM) integration. Different CAD packages store information related their own databases. Structures these databases are different each other. As a result, no common or standard structure that can be used by all been developed so far. For reason, chapter will propose intelligent methodology develop system which ability communicate with various CAD/CAM systems. takes neutral file initial graphics exchange specification (IGES) format for 3-D prismatic parts input translates information. boundary representation (B-rep) geometrical part analyzed program basis object-oriented geometric reasoning approaches. A algorithm recognize features such step holes.
