摘要: Background: There is a lack of information on normal inspiratory and expiratory CT lung density in infants. Objective: To describe regional at end volumes children ages 0–5 years. Materials methods: Motionless HRCT images were obtained 25 cm (inspiratory) 0 (expiratory) water pressure apical (top arch) basal (2 above diaphragm) levels 16 sedated (mean age 1.5 years) who underwent for reasons other than respiratory disease. Density was measured anterior–posterior medial–lateral locations each level lung. The influence level, location, quantified using analysis variance methods. Results: Lung declined linearly the first few years life thereafter approximated adult values. Beginning with anterior–basal inspiration (HU) = −835 − (16 × + (if apical) 33 posterior) 23 medial) 14 lateral); standard error 38. At resting exhalation −616 (41 age) 50 155 74 46 68. Conclusion: We provide an initial basis employing densitometry infants young volumes.
