摘要: Common lung diseases are likely to be multifactorial and multigenic. In addition, the exhibits a limited set of biological physiological responses, so different exhibit significant overlap in phenotype. This complexity development manifestation disease poses challenges for developing complete accurate models disease. Nonetheless, layered strategy that includes vitro vivo systems can offset these limitations. have evolved from simple organ culture intricate procedures cell high fidelity behavior vivo. Similarly, traditional physiology-based large animals rodents genetic modification mice using targeted conditional systems. Complex traits may studied inbred, recombinant, or congenic strains mice, single gene effects segregated naturally experimentally. Ultimately, results identify candidate genes further study humans.
