摘要: Abstract As a European reference concept of blanket for DEMO fusion reactor, the helium cooled pebble bed (HCPB) is introduced novel design cellular structure with breeder units (BUs) to fulfil functional requirements. The BU stack shallow ceramic breeders and beryllium beds separated by cooling plates. coolant in dense array channels inside plates key achieve good thermal layout BU, it has secure temperatures high enough tritium production while staying within material temperature limits. Given complexity system, non-symmetric headers collectors, multitude parallel spatially varying heat sources, refined numerical model was applied understand detail BU's thermal–hydraulic behaviours. results will be used identify testing conditions an HCPB mock-up.
