摘要: Abstract Simplified band models are developed for methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) bands in the longwave radiation spectrum. The then employed a model to calculate seasonally latitudinally varying contributions of CH4, N2O radiative energy balance earth-troposphere system. From calculations, it is concluded that opacity (i.e., so-called “greenhouse effect”) due present-day observed concentrations CH4. contribute nearly 2 K hemispherical mean surface temperature with possible larger polar temperatures. paper also discusses stratospheric effects CH4 examines sensitivity tropospheric large increases N2O.
