摘要: Adult male Wistar rats were anesthetized with urethan (1.5 g/kg). They unable to maintain body temperature (Tb) in a warm (32 degrees C) or cool (9 environment at laboratory room of 22 C. Tb was allowed fall 35.8, 34.5, 33.3 C, and prostaglandin E1 (PGE1, 400 ng) delivered into lateral cerebral ventricle. An immediate feverlike rise resulted, accompanied by vigorous shivering. Animals vasoconstricted throughout. When raised maintained 38.3 39.5 animals also responded fever; however, the magnitude fever diminished as starting increased. In series experiments which (36.8-37.4 means heating pad, PGE1 ventricle anterior hypothalamus caused dose-dependent change Tb, similar time onset, magnitude, duration that observed conscious animals. This shivering increased O2 uptake, heart rate, arterial blood pressure, respiratory intracranial pressure during rising phase fever, vasodilation paws occurred defeveresence. able develop response purified human interleukin 1.
