摘要: AbstractPurpose: We investigated the effect of neoadjuvant treatment before radical prostatectomy for clinically localized prostate cancer.Materials and Methods: A total 130 patients with stages T2b T3 cancer was randomized in a multicenter study: 62 underwent immediate 65 received 560 mg. estramustine phosphate daily 6 weeks preoperatively.Results: For clinical stage tumors resulted significant decrease positive surgical margins compared to nonpretreated group. This difference not found tumors. The impact on progression survival still must be analyzed.Conclusions: Neoadjuvant can beneficial T2 cancer. Optimal remains controversial.
