摘要: Hackethal's technique of stacked intramedullary (IM) nailing was used to treat 43 consecutive acute fractures the humeral diaphysis. Of these, 6 were lost follow-up and 4 additional patients excluded for pathologic fractures. All remaining 33 traumatic followed until union. The average age 34 years. Mean operative time 90 min. Usually four or five 2- 3-mm IM Kirschner wires introduced in a retrograde manner, through posterior unicortical window under radioscopic control. Closed reductions performed 28 patients, open other five. Time averaged 3 years 5 months (range 8 13 years). There no infections. three nonunions (9%), two nails 1 patient penetrated greater tuberosity one nail migrated distally another patient. This method internal fixation is not complicated causes minimal trauma. It provides good stability at fracture site permits early mobilization with excellent functional results.
