摘要: Policy interventions such as zoning ordinances, school facility sitting guidelines, capital improvement programs, and park master plans hold particular promise for promoting physical activity, especially at the local level. Despite increasing attention to relationship between built environment characteristics there is a paucity of research on extent which policies can promote or hinder activity. Furthermore, impact activity should depend how effectively are implemented. Based policy implementation literature using Montgomery County, Maryland, case study, this study identifies factors related successful hypothesized influence For our we conducted an extensive review 17 in-depth interviews with 26 individuals. The were transcribed, coded, analyzed identify relevant that affect implementation. Our findings suggest knowledge awareness, commitment capacity, intergovernmental coordination, presence advocate champion, conflict Those trying increase through could focus these features help make more successful.
