Providing OLAP to User-Analysts: An IT Mandate

摘要: Overview Recently, there has been a great deal of discussion in the trade press and elsewhere regarding coexistence so-called transaction databases with decision support systems. These discussions usually revolve around argument that physical design required for acceptable performance each is incompatible therefore, data should be stored redundantly multiple enterprise databases: one processing, other type activities. Also, these same arguments confuse schema logical conceptual schema.
