摘要: We performed a systematic study of radiation-induced decomposition rates KClO3, KClO4, KBrO3 and KIO3 in glass capillaries using the monochromatic x-ray. also complementary white beam x-ray to verify presence molecular oxygen released from acatalytic, isothermal chemical reactions initiated by hard x-rays diamond anvil cell seal samples. The aim these studies entailed better-understanding effect oxygen-oxygen distance multiplicity determining induced rate potassium halates aid useful chemistry. observed appears strongly inversely correlate with O-O which suggests that ionization events atoms halate groups occur nearly simultaneously irreversible reaction two ionized radicals occurs higher probability when they are closer one another.
