摘要: Irradiated and thymectomized CBA mice are markedly depressed in several immunological parameters (skin homograft rejection, graft-vs.-host activity hemolytic plaque-forming cells of the spleen, hemolysin hemagglutinin formation, peripheral lymphocyte counts). In present experiments ability homografts neonatal thymus placed beneath kidney capsule to restore capacity such animals was studied. Thymus which share same H-2 locus with mouse were permanently tolerated restoration complete. Skin from donor specifically retained, but third party skin even minor (non-H-2) incompatibility normally rejected spleen restored. differ at promptly led accelerated rejection subsequently grafted donor. With incompatible grafts, histo-incompatibility retained while there slight moderate major (H-2) incompatibility. Graft-vs.-host restored, no return cells, hemolysins, hemagglutinins, or counts. view cross-reactivity between donors, it felt that could be adequately explained on basis immunization by graft did not require postulation true immune a hormone.
