摘要: Manganese or silicon carbide is formed in a solid state reaction by mixing manganese oxide particles with carbonaceous material (e.g., coke) particles. The materials may be into agglomerates including excess and heated suitable reactor vessel. An iron source, such as pig and/or scrap, can also added. In that case, the dissolves molten to produce ferrosilicon ferromanganese alloys.
