摘要: We describe the cloning of first hymenopteran vitellogenin receptor (VgR) cDNA from imported fire ant, Solenopsis invicta, an invasive pest. Using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and rapid amplification ends, fragments encompassing entire coding region a putative VgR were cloned sequenced. The complete 5764 bp encodes 1782 residue protein with predicted molecular mass 201.3 kDa (=SiVgR). Northern blot analysis demonstrated that 7.4 kb SiVgR transcript was present only in ovaries reproductive females (virgin alates queens). temporal profile transcriptional expression showed mRNA increased age virgin alate this up-regulated by methoprene, juvenile hormone (JH) analogue. This suggests gene is JH regulated.
