摘要: Abstract High light yield scintillation materials on the base of lanthanide ions were demonstrated to be a multipurpose materials. They are widely used detect γ –quanta and now become prospective neutrons as well. Neutrons detected through several distinct low energy peaks, generated by nuclei in under neutrons. Among three crystalline scintillators, namely lutetium oxy-orthosilicate, lanthanum bromide gadolinium–aluminum–gallium garnet, Gd3Al2Ga3O12:Ce (GAGG) scintillator showed best performance sensitivity due internal background radioactivity good cross section neutron capture natural mixture matrix host-creating Gd ions. The material fits requirements for detector properties — high content high yield, stopping power reasonable resolution -quanta. These findings create prospects construct compact detectors space other application.
