摘要: Interventional pulmonology (IP) allows comprehensive assessment of patients with benign and malignant airway, lung parenchymal pleural disease. This relatively new branch pulmonary medicine utilizes advanced diagnostic therapeutic techniques to treat diseases. Endobronchial ultrasound revolutionized nodules, mediastinal lymphadenopathy cancer staging allowing minimally invasive, highly accurate disease, both macro- microscopic tissue characterization including molecular signature analysis. High-spatial resolution, endobronchial imaging autofluorescence bronchoscopy, narrow-band imaging, optical coherence tomography confocal microscopy enable detailed evaluation airways increasing role in detection treatment malignancies arising central airways. Precision peripheral lesion localization has been increased through innovative navigational bronchoscopy electromagnetic navigation. Pleural diseases can be assessed the use non-invasive ultrasonography, high sensitivity specificity for disease detection. Medical pleuroscopy is a invasive technique improving safety precision effusion assessment. In this review, we discuss newest advances modalities utilized IP, indications their use, accuracy, efficacy, challenges application these technologies thoracic
