摘要: AbstractThe search for alternative fuels, such as methyl ester from vegetable oils or water-oil emulsions, has become even more pertinent in the current context of fossil fuel shortage, diesel vehicle population explosion and new environmental policies. In this paper, results experimental research on particulate emissions a typical indirect injection (IDI) engine running under five different operating conditions tested with fourteen types conventional are reported. The chemical analysis emitted matter showed, example, that total mass decreases when using biofuels owing to reduction their insoluble fraction. Moreover, composition made it possible identify hydrocarbons adsorbed soot surface, quantify proportion respect distinguish between origins. surface scanning electron microscopy showe...
