摘要: To fully understand the biology and ecology of marine mammal populations impacts humans on species, scientists need to know age individuals in a population. The Australian Centre for Applied Marine Mammal Science, established at Antarctic Division (AAD) last year, is Australia's first major national research centre focused understanding, protecting conserving whales, dolphins, seals dugongs. This focus brings together mammals from tropical, temperate waters - an unusual mix organisation, but critical AAD's broader advisory role within Department Environment Water Resources. article provide snapshot project being undertaken through centre.
