摘要: A large cDNA fragment that codes for proenkephalin (PENK) was cloned from the rough-skinned newt, Taricha granulosa (GenBank Accession: AY817670). This 1299-bp PENK extends poly(A) sequence on 3' end into 5'-UTR (221bp) upstream of an open reading frame 264 amino acids and a stop codon. Within precursor are five Met-enkephalin sequences two C-terminally extended forms (YGGFMRGV YGGFMRY). The organization opioid core within newt closely resembles reported other vertebrates. In this urodele amphibian, as in anurans, does not contain penultimate Leu-enkephalin found mammals, instead has position Met-enkephalin. amplified brain RACE PCR targeting delta receptor (DOR). It remains to be determined whether generating while cloning its serendipitous or result meaningful coincidence between DOR sequences.
