摘要: The effects on motivation to eat and food intake of administering small amounts aspartame (234 470 mg: lower dose equivalent the amount contained in 1-2 cans some soft drinks) capsules human volunteers were examined two separate experiments (the second was a replication first). results provided clear evidence prominent postingestive inhibitory action appetite: consumed capsules, reduced subsequent and, lesser extent, eat. mechanism underlying this effect has yet be elucidated. A possibility is that release cholecystokinin by phenylalanine, constituent aspartame, involved. further result drinking aspartame-sweetened water did not reliably reduce motivational ratings or (in first experiment ingested significantly compared with same as sweet drink). One interpretation these together previous findings response consuming determined at least interacting influences: an stimulatory its taste. In turn, relative potency influences may modified certain other features drink (e.g., nutrient content). Another implication it cannot assumed intense sweeteners will all have appetite.
