摘要: The newly identified neuropeptide nociceptin/orphanin FQ (NOC) was measured in different rat brain areas related to the descending anti-nociceptive pathways and compared two opioid peptides, dynorphin B (DYN B) Met-enkephalinArgPhe (MEAP). Two experimental models of chronic nociception, one neurogenic inflammatory, used this study, reveal how pathological conditions may influence these endogenous systems. Nerve injury is induced by ligation sciatic nerve inflammation a carrageenan injection gluteal muscle, 2 weeks prior decapitation. Selected were dissected out frozen. NOC-, DYN B- MEAP-like immunoreactivity (LI) determined radioimmunoassay. increased NOC-LI levels cortex cinguli, B-LI dorsal ventral part spinal cord, whereas decrease MEAP-LI seen periaqueductal grey (PAG). After inflammation, hypothalamus PAG. A general increase found after all analyzed except hippocampus. In conclusion, cinguli both treatment groups cord following treatment. changes concentrations not parallelled MEAP-LI, suggesting that NOC peptides elicit reactions systems nociception/antinociception.
